This pump has done this 10+ times in the last year. About to trash it. It will run and my apex will alert me to my sump water level too high. Inspection and controller on pump has flashing lights, which in the manual says "over or under voltage". So I have a spare pump I was going to use on my frag tank, swapped the New dc adapter with the old one, and thought it was fixed. Just did it again to me today. Anyone have any insight in this? Or is the pump just junk?

I know this will sound very random, but do the lights in your house flicker when your washing machine kicks on? Or when you have a large electric appliance running do some lights in your house get brighter?

Common problem for the jeboo's
Controller failure due to power surges.

My concern would be a problem with the houses neutral connection. If the neutral becomes disconnected from ground anything with a voltage sensing circuit will either indicate high or low voltage if load is unbalanced. It is a very common cause of electrical fires in houses.

What about cross wiring in the outlets.
Many homes that I remodel are all or almost all have some sort of cross wiring.
No big deal if you run AC equipment but it seams that DC equipment has or going to have problems with it over time.

I assume by cross wiring you mean the hot and neutral are swapped on some circuits? This is very common and much more dangerous than people think. It shouldn't cause an issue with any DC power supplies that are double insulated (fed with 2 prong AC plug) but could cause problems with DC power supplies that utilize the ground connection.

If jebao's are considered expensive to the OP, then we have a problem. Even expensive return pumps experience failure. I would just purchase a new one. My Jebao DC pump has been running fine for almost two years... KNOCK ON WOOD.

I have same problem with same pump. Tunze Ato alarm goes off that sump level too high. After few minutes it stabalizes again. Had this happen twice overnight having me jump out of bed all paranoid. Waiting for Neptune to release their pump so i can get rid of this garbage

If you look to all the test that American made products are going through vs the jeboo.
I looked yesterday at the new pump from them that should represent the EM QD but I just laughed at it.
For $90 bucks you get a few pieces molded plastic with electrical wires in there but no UIL test certificates printed on the equipment.

I respect this 100%. I will say, I've worked with Americans in production and I've seen our quality control on a number of products. A printed piece of paper is just that.

I concur. One going bad is just jebao luck of the draw.
I would get these and test the source power.

I routinely clean it ( every 2 months) and it has been running for almost 2 years, the only time it stopped is when something got stuck in the impeller.

Wiring on these outlets are correct, I know because I wired them. But it "might" be the power company where I live. But its also plugged into the apex. Maybe running a UPS might help stabilize the power, as i'm only drawing 2 amps with lights off.

I just realized this is about Jebao. Mine is Waveline DC 6000. Same issue though. Prob same pumps anyway

True, but I have never ever had a other pump die on me.
My LFS that I go too has a box full of broken jeboo equipment as it just happen more often than to others that cost three times more.
And if it happens to the other pumps you have a great CS that will take care of you.
Jeboo just doesn't care about us hobbyist with a great CS department.
It breaks you buy new, cause that's a fact.

Call me a simpleton, but I will take a high quality AC pump over any DC pump for my sump return.

I don't think it's about being a simplton, disagreeing, arguing, or insulting. It's just how many Jebao's to High end pumps are being sold? How long has jebao or jecod been around? Are they building a company or just pulling one over? I've seen some vast improvements with "jeboo" or the years and I'm slightly impressed with what I've seen. Kia didn't start with $50,000 cars. Kia started with crap throw aways that sold like hot cakes.
