Does anyone have experience with the Jebao doser? My tank is starting to require daily dosing as my alk dropped from 9 to 7.4 in a week. Also want to hear about the BRS dosers. Are they reliable?

Thanks in advance

sorry for title....phone froze and clicked post once it got working

No experiance with the doser. Maybe we can get @Crabs Mcjones to fix your tile so you can get answers or maybe repost and ask for this one to be deleted.

No experience with Jebao, are you using an apex by chance? I have been using the DOS and its been really nice being able to control and monitor everything through fusion.

You're welcome :) FWIW there are users selling used dos units for decent prices on the forum quite often, it's how I picked mine up ;)

I think if you're going for a budget doser Jebao it's really good, I been using mine for about 8 months with no issues. But if you don't mind expending the money, I myself would love to get an ekoral doser.

That’s good to hear. I am on a budget so either Jebao or BRS dosers will do....My alk was low and I added some Reef code B from brightwell and I think i let my self go...one of my sps may be bleaching :(

Ill be looking. I wouldn’t have the apex either, but I got a smoking deal I couldn’t refuse :p

That BRS doser might fit the bill if your looking to buy some time and get your alk dosed. I just started the doing the same thing and set up a single peristaltic dosing pump, your still looking at 70$ for the pump but you need a good digital timer too.

The jebao may be the best bet then

i started using a jebao dosing pump few weeks ago no issues at all make sure you have a 100ml measuring cup/cylinder too calibrate with.

i have my apex controlling it with this command setup i found on the forums

Fallback OFF
Set ON
If pH > 8.40 Then OFF
Defer 000:10 Then ON
Defer 000:10 Then OFF
When Off > 000:20 Then OFF

Does it come with the lines or did you have to buy them separately

I had been using the DP4 for a while but switched over to the Coral Box WiFi doser recently. The DP4 worked flawlessly but decided to switch because of the hassle of stooping under the stand in a tight spot to make adjustments. With the Coral Box I can make adjustments from the phone app.

I have had mine for over a year and it works well. To turn a channel off just set the dosing to 0ml and it will not run.

You know, some things are so obvious they get overlooked!! I've been trying to shut off pump 4 by zeroing out the times per day ;Shamefullyembarrased

Thank you

I have the brs dosers even though I’m not dosing much. I think they are great for what they are for. Just keep in mind make sure you calibrate them, advertised they are 1ml per min, both mine are 1.8 ml per min
