Ok so been seeing the dosing pumps have been coming down on price. I was wondering how many ppl are using the jebao dosing pumps and do you have fail safes?has anyones pump messed up ?

The 2 stage is 60.
?
The 4 head is 68.99 on amazon with one day Prime shipping (we've got the prime now and one day stuff around here, I know that may vary depending on your location) It's in my "saved for later" haven't decided wether I want to do a different dosing method, I've generally maintained levels with kalkwasser..

dunno. Looks like its 70 and change. Probably the same seller really. When I got mine It was 60 for the 2 stage and 65 for the 3 stage...

Do you guys have problems with bubbles in the lines? I get rid of them, but they're back the next day or two. I replaced all the lines, but I still get bubbles at the output of the dosing heads. I have to manually remove the bubbles every two days which is beginning to be a PITA!

You have a leak somewhere. That should not happen. I have 2, 4 head dosing pumps set up for over three years and never had a problem.

I found that regular clear plastic airline was the culprit. I switched to the blue silicone air line tubing and since then have had 0 air bubbles.

My concern is how cheap they are now, makes me kind of second guessing buying one,is there any way to make a fail safe on them ?would hate for a pump to just keep dosing

Looking at pumps currently also. Would like a 3 pump unit over 3 individual pumps. What are some things to look for and avoid in pumps?

Sorry to thread jack @JEREMY82

No worries man I'm looking for answers too. Because I've put lot of money into my tank and would hate to skip on a few bucks to see a catastrophe

I've had mine a couple of years now and no issues. If your looking for fail safe you can always use a small holding container so it can't overdose too much. That should give you piece of mind until you feel you can trust it.

A lot of people freak out about some cheaper stuff, when most of the stuff is made in the same country. Just like anything you'll have some that fail and some won't, just because you spend 300 on a dosing pump doesn't mean it won't fail. As long as there is something mechanical or even electrical there is a chance of failure. I bought the jebao and will be setting it up this week.

Not sure if anyone else said this, but the DP-4 comes with an extra pump if one were to fail. They also provide instructional videos on such failures, as well.

Any recommended for dosing ?a certain brand or recipe ?
