Jebao dp-4 doser

hey Caleb

Let us know how it works for you. We are expecting at report at the June meeting. :)

I bought one of these a few months ago. Once you get the hang of its interface, it seems to be spot on for me. I am only useing two heads currently dosing Alk and Strontium. but it seems to be working nicely.

That's great news. Do you keep your fluids above or below the doser?

they are below the doser. then I ran the output tubes about 3 feet over to the sump.

Yes. you need to calibrate them before use. that way it knows how many revolutions it takes to make a ml. IIRC, you calibrate it to 100 ML.

What strontium test kit u using? I think calibrating the jebao is paramount. Its not difficult to do.

Got mine last week. So far it works grate. Just calibrate it and keep an eye on how much it actual doses. Mine is set to dose 1ml an hour of calcium but it drops 2ml anhour Which for me is fine because I normally dose 50ml a day. I also got the liquid storage bucket.

That's awesome. Great setup

Is this doser up and humming yet? Pics man!

There are a variety of jugs that can be had for free. Remember Ole man was showing us those apple juice gallon jugs are perfect if they are just going in the bottom of your cabinet.

I just got mine, too, and it seems that once it is calibrated to 100ml, it doses 1ml more at each set point than what you program it to dose. You must test this out before using on your tank because it will need some tweaking.

Oh yea -- that's right. I'm going to see him Saturday to get tips on how to start out etc

I have calibrated each pump to 100ml and it was very easy.

One thing to keep in mind, the doser will be more acurate over larger quantities. I mix my dosing fluid at 1/2 strength and then dose 2x the amount.
