Jebao FA-3000 fountain pump reef safe?

I had the intention of buying a small/medium sized pump to do water changes. I got it off of amazon because it was cheap yet pushed out 700 gph. I didn't even think about if it was reef safe or not considering it is designed for fountains.
It was only $23!
I have three options: 1) use as water change pump (only in the water for a short period of time). 2) use to pump water from RODI to mixing tank (always in RODI water). and 3) return it.

I searched all over but couldn't find anyone using it in a reef tank.
Any experience or opinions?

does it have copper as a metal used inside of it? Open it and see what's in it. It is probably not much different but I don't know for sure. a link would help as well

I tried to open it up but the prop is locked in by molded plastic. I think it will be fine but I have been surprised before

It's probably filled with an epoxy, like lots of other pumps. I know with Danner/mag-drive the only difference between what people use in their fountains and what we use in our tanks is the length of the cord.

Hahah funny you say that. This cord is ridiculously long like 12 feet. Went for the cheapest option and kinda regretting it.

If the cord length is a major concern just cut it to the length you want and put a new plug end on it. Plug ends are like $5 at HD or wherever

Thanks. My main concern is leaving it in RODI all the time.

My guess would be it would be okay from reading the description. It says it has a ceramic shaft so no metal shaft to rust. Of course use your own descression but I would be really surprised if it caused a problem.
