Hey guys,
long story short I bought a new PP8s off amazon while building my set up took along time to finally get the 2nd one wet and it never really worked. now Looking to get it going i took it apart and I believe my impeller is froze.

the rod that goes through the impeller unit does not move like in some YT videos.
anyone have a fix or know where I can get a new one?

cheers

That sucks to hear. I just got 2 of these for my build and onky tried out one during a leak test. Hope that you get if fixed and that I dont have the same issues.

Hey @DesertReefT4r I found this thread over on RC:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2552560&page=4

also looks like you can get the the impeller router and shaft from amazon, ebay or fish street. all tho I am working out what impeller to get for the PP8 pumps. they chane the name of them every upgrade...

the most common breakdown of these pumps are the impeller then the motor. Reefbreeders and others have replacement motors if it ever fails.

so it looks like you can just about replace most of the part of these pumps. impeller, motor, controller.
I still would like a MP10/40QD tho but for the price...I am forced to stick with Jebao I have 3- 2 pp8 and 1 pp4 2 are running like champs over a year...one never really worked.

i'll try to update this thread just is case anybody finds it useful.

OK an update just in case anyone is searching this...
I got confirmation form 2 different vendors. one ebay and one amazon that the PP8 impeller is the same as the wp25
so if you're looking for a replacement these should work. ( I have yet to do this physically tho )

I would give the mod a try 1st tho that just might help. but if not there is a impeller as long as you motor is not fried. if it is reefbreeders carries them.
