Hello, I am having an issue with my Jebao wavermaker not staying on I have cleaned it, but it won't turn on unless I spin the propeller and even then it's only on for a minute or two. I am trying a vinger soak to see if that helps. Any other suggestions?

This is what they do when they start to die. I’ve had quite a few go this way.

If you remove the cage, check to see if the little clear rubber cap is binding or if the magnet is swelling at all.

Mine never showed any sign of damage, just stopped working.

I took it apart and the rubber cap seemed fine. I am not sure if the magnet was swollen or not.

i've had this happen to me a number of times, they pump is usually no good anymore, unless you use it only on the constant on mode, then it eventually dies all together.

That seems to be what's happening. Dang it, the last one I had lasted over 2 years before I sold it with the tank.

I originally bought the jebao gyre pump, worked for 1 day. The motor still worked, the spinning mech inside broke. Since it is all 1 piece on the inside it was dead. I returned it to the seller and got my money back, and bought the ICE CAP 1K GYRE.
