So I am searching pumps for my reefer 350. Initially I was leaning toward the Jebao OW since I have one and it’s dead silent.

now, with the intention of getting a cleaner look. I am looking at the Jebao cp90 crossflow gyre to mount them on the back on each side.

most importantly are they quiet?

Or any other pumps that you suggest would be greatly appreciated.

I have the maxspect gyres and they are quiet, I've also had the OW and the SLW pumps by Jebao and they are quiet. That being said I can't imagine the CP series to not be quiet. I would try them on that size tank or the SLW over the OW.

My max spent xf230 is loud. My new scp 120 is being running for a week now, still loud (only 3-40%). My OW25 was a bit noisy when it was new but after a couple of months, it’s dead silent. So that’s why I was curious.

Out of curiosity for future reference, would you say the xf 230 or scp 120 is louder?

Are you sure you have them assembled correctly? I have xf230’s running at 100% and they are dead silent.

Define silent. Anything above 50% power and I get a very distinct audible hum/buzzing, but only when I go above 50%. 50% and below and they are silent. As soon as I hit 60% they start buzzing. Loud enough that I don't bother running them above 50%.

That sucks. How loud? Noisiest thing on your tank?
Well put it this way, you can hear it on the same level of the house despite that I got two big tanks running and a nano. It will quiet down for about 5 hours if I press the feed mode or shut it off and turn it back on. But then the cycle starts all over again.

my OW and SOW are dead silent.

My scp120 is not dead silent. But quieter than my rw8 and my sdw16. All at full power sine wave mode. All my jebaos Start out a bit noisy but once they break in, they are near silent. I think the scp120 is a great gyre. Mines been going 20 months with little problems. Just be sure to give them all a citric acid bath every 90days (NOT vinegar) and they will be great. Vinegar has killed every jebao pump I have used it on. Near silent yes. Inaudible............ I think that depends on the person and setup. All brands (Cheap to Uber expensive) of DC Wavemakers I have been around have an audible hum at higher speeds. The quietest Wavemakers I have ever had we’re old koralias. Couldn’t tell they were on even with your ear on the magnet.
