Hey all, I'm pretty much set to go with Jebao pump for my reefer 250 just unsure on what model.
Want to go with their newest DCP models for being a bit quieter than previous models.
Won't be filling tank anytime soon, so timing is not an issue.

I can either get DCP 5000, available right away, but unsure if it's too strong

Or DCP 4000, or DCP 3000, probably 2-4 weeks shipping from China, but smaller footprint and maybe more appropriate flow ?

Do you plan to run a manifold? I ran the Reef Octopus VarioS6 on my reefer 250 on speed 4 out of 5. It ran my tank, my reactor and algae scrubber. I currently have the Neptune COR20 in place of the RO pump and it is running at 74%.

I'm too new to even know what a manifold is :)
Right now just trying to put together parts so I can get things moving and start to cycle tank in a month or two.
Don't think I'll get into more complicated filtration than skimmer anytime soon, maybe after winter if I get handle on how things run.

I would go with the 4 or 5000 personally!

Go bigger you can always dial it down on DC pump. If you run manifolds later for reactors, chiller etc its better that you have a stronger pump to push all these things

Maybe bigger is safer choice as I can always include some restrictors in line if it turns out too strong.
