I currently have only one pump. Would like to replace it with another pump and use the current as a backup. I’ve been looking at the jebao pumps but first would like to hear any positive or negative experiences any of you might of had. I want to be able to control the flow so Jebao is a good option at a very affordable price.

Thanks in advance.

I bought my first jebao pump back when I was broke and wanted something other than maxi jets! I used that pump for a very long time. Right now it's in the sump moving water for the cheato. That pump has been plugged into the wall running for 4 years. Then a quick break before called back into duty. I have had several since then and none failed on me. They are cheaper than the fancy expensive stuff. If treated well and cleaned regularly they seem to last. For me anyways.

My new build I was lucky enough to buy all high end stuff. Mp40s and maxspect gyres. They are nice and pretty and work just as well as the jebaos. They will probably outlast the jebao.

I suggest getting the jebao. Then you can save up for used equipment or new if your not happy. If my return poops out it will be a jebao. My dosing pump is jebao.

I have steered clear of the crossflow. I have no reason for steering clear though.

Many people say they lose power. Have you noticed this on yours?

Maybe. It's hard to tell. They slow down from time to time then I just vinegar bath them and they come back. Same with my mp40s and gyres. They all need cleaning around the same intervals.

Do they produce the same power they did when they were brand new. I have no clue. If they don't it's only a small amount. Nothing to worry about when your taking flow in a reef.
