Jebao pumps and controllers

Any jebao users out there that have tinkered with mix matching wave makers and controllers? Ex: wp controller with pp wave makers. Reasoning behind this is simply for space management. I like the how the new units have the wireless connection but hate the power supply plug. I've tried with wp 25 and rw 8 on a controller for wp25 and wp10.
