Jebao return pump versions - DCQ/DC/DCT/DCP/DCS? Sheesh, which one?

My dcp10000 is dying after 2 years bought it in 2017 woke up to it turned off. Wondering if I should get it again or switch. Is the DCq the new one. Thoughts? Also thinking of the maxspect jump

It's up to you, but I'll share my thinking. I bought the DCQ-10000. It's been working great for me for 9 months or so. Hopefully it lasts many years. But they're inexpensive enough that I actually bought a second one so that I can swap it out if it dies. Any pump has a possibility of failure (who knows with the new Maxspect Jump?), but I like that I can be prepared with a backup on hand with my Jebao. I could almost buy 3 of that pump for the cost of one Maxspect Jump 10k. Cheers,

Been running DCT and DCP for over 3 years without any problem.. Never had one to fail at me. You will be amazed on how much water this pumps move. Have the DCP 2500 on a 35 gallon tank and have it at minimum capacity and still moves a lot of water.

I've had the dcp going for 2 years and recently its. Been acting up unfortunately

Yep. Top of this page. DCQ-10000. Working great so far. I'm running at about 65% and I have it split to my return, algae scrubber, AND UV Sterilizer in my 120g tank!
And as I noted above, I even bought a second one as a backup just in case I do have a failure.

I bought the Jaebo DCP8000 a little over a year ago for $65. It is still running strong. Don't need to clean it often. I am planning a rework of my entire system and so I was thinking of going with dual DCQ8000. Then I started looking at the price. I can't touch one for under $130! Being a typical DC pump it is easily throttled by any choke points like a return nozzle. I originally removed the nozzles and just used pvc 45s to direct the flow. I decided to get a Sicce ADV 9.0 for $253 or 10.0 for $269. I went to Stingray bay in Roseville, MI and they had the 9.0 for $173. Needless to say I bought that. I haven't hooked it up yet but I think it will be much better through the nozzles to have an AC pump.

The point I'm trying to make is that if Jaebo hadn't raised there prices I would have 2 DCQ because I would have been able to buy both for half the regular price of a Sicce and a quarter of the price of a Vortec. To me it's not worth it anymore.

DCQ8000 for $99.99. I got my 10000 for $113 (actually less because I used an eBay coupon).

At any rate, they're cheaper and still a good quality pump IMO. I had a Sicce short out so bad in my 65 gallon that the power cord melted off of the pump and killed about half of my coral a year ago. :-(

can you physically measure the DCP 2500 for me. interested in the width.i have a chamber that is exactly 3 inches that I'd like to drop the pump in. if not I think I might end up with the dcs 2000 as the dcs 3000 might just be too big

What are you guys using to adapt the DCP4000 to standard US plumbing? The adapters don't fit, and the threads on the pump are BSP (straight thread, no pitch).

I bought 2 of these with the thought of using one on my salt mixing station.

Has anyone confirmed what type of thread these jebao pumps use. I know it’s not metric because nothing at Home Depot works
