I have a Jebao RW-15 that runs in wave mode on the lowest setting on a timer. For probably 6 months this worked great, but now when the power comes back on it runs constant in full power mode.

Has anybody ran into this issue before? If so, what did you do to resolve it.

Thanks
Randy

I have 2 of them connected to an aqualink wireless. I experience the same issues where I have to re-establish a link or they run in default mode. Not exactly the same as you but similar and besides re-establishing a link there is nothing I have figured out.

Yes. From what I understand most variable speed pumps and wavemakers will ramp up to 100% if power is lost and then restored. The only work around that I know of would be to use a Jebao Apex Controller adapter so that it can remember your setting in the event of a power outage or switch to something a bit more advanced like an EcoTech VorTech. I have the same issue with my RW-8s and my Jebao DCT8000. I now run my DCT8000 on 100% and just close the ball valve I have on the return so no matter what happens the flow is always right. The RWs are another story. I run mine on full power so thats never an issue, but I lose my wave setting if the power is goes out.

I have never personally used the Jebao Apex adapter and it is my understand that though it will work with Apex, because its not Neptunes approved it may void any warranty you have on it(assuming you have an Apex). Dont quote me on this though.

Thanks for the feedback. It's basically the same kind of issue. Normally I wouldn't care about this, but this thing is such a beast. It will blow sand and create a bare spot and also blow coral over.

Yea, I am using a Reefkeeper so I don't have an Apex. Sounds like the best solution may be get a RW-8 so I can use the night mode. Hopefully that wouldnt be overly strong. The RW-15 is way stronger than I thought it would be.
