Planning on getting a BTA for my 25g and was wondering if the Jebao RW-4's need a pump guard since the pump inlets are so small.

Anyone who has the RW-4's and has an anemone(s) in their tank please comment.

If it does need one, how would I be able to make a pump guard for it?

yea prob should. Its ugly if it happens.
Look into plastic canvas; that plus little thin zipties easy diy

How much would that plastic canvas reduce the flow? And it would be kind of hard to zip tie the plastic canvas around the pump because of its cylindrical shape.

Thanks

Depends on the size canvas you get.
And no it's pretty easy.

It is very easy as salty stated as for flowloss it is minimal as long as you keep the canvas clean. They will clog but not all that fast.

no not really. Good light. Med to high, good flow, indirect some times high sometimes med.
Nems are weird.
Mine is nuts. Last tank placed it one it stayed. This tank it walked and walked then split. Then the clowns tried to host and it literally walked around the rock till it gave up and finally let them host. came right back to its first spot.
fwiw first BTA was powerhead mush at 3am. second went in and curled up and never came back. this is my third now about 2.5 years old. mother of one so far.
