Jebao RW-4 magnet

I just received a RW-4 today. The rubber damper base on the water side was not bonded to the plastic. It appears that the magnet on the water side is enclosed in plastic. Can anyone confirm this?

Magnet should be enclosed in plastic to prevent rust.

Thanks for your reply. I'm a little confused. Are you saying that the RW series is designed with the magnet enclosed in plastic or are you saying that, in general, magnets should be enclosed in plastic?

I'm having difficulty determining if the exposed portion is plastic or a magnet.
