I just put in my new rw-4 yesterday and I am really loving how much sleeker it looks than my original pump. Also it has some excellent flow. I've got the pump set up like it shows in the picture below tilted slightly down so it comes back towards its end. Not sure if it's the best way so if someone has any suggestions tell me. I also am not sure what setting would be best for my tank. I currently have it on the w2 setting where it goes from 30-100 percent increasing then decreasing constantly. I've got a torch frag and I'm worried it might be getting too much direct flow. Again if you have a suggestion on the best setting for my tank please let me know. I've got a 29 gal tank with 10 gal sump. In the DT I've got some zoas, gsp, and the torch coral.

At first it seems like its alot of flow but im sure your corals will adapt to it. I keep all my rws facing toward the water line nd pulse on w1 mode. Pushes alot of random flow through the tank
Should I put the pump halfway down the glass and face upwards?

I have RW8 in my tank - bigger brother of yours. I use it pointing slightly upwards (just to not be real flat flow) and on random mode. Randomly change from various pulses and waves and creates havoc in tank. I see all corals "dancing" in all directions. Soon I will add a second one pointing one to each other on this random flow and everybody will be happy in there.

Hopefully I can get another one in the near future. That would be the ideal situation is to have two pointing at eachother.
