I have two RW-4's with one set as master and the other slave. They keep dropping their master/slave status and seem to not be operating in sync either. Any ideas?

They are in mode "C" if that matters.

I ordered two RW-8's when they first came out and one of the two refused to play nicely. So i sent it back and got another one and found that they works best on W1. The other settings just don't seem to work effectively.

Do you mean it wouldn't stay in Master/Slave mode unless you had it in W1 mode?

Also, now that I have them hooked into my controller for power, I've discovered that if you turn them off Master/slave turns off. That's a pain.

Yep anytime power is cut you have to reset master and slave modes. I run mine on w1
Wish I knew that before.... Oh well, I guess I can leave them on for now until I buy the control cables for my Reef Angel.

I'm going for sort of an alternating gyre effect and C seems to be the best for that. I have the left pump come on for about 30 seconds, then the right for 30 seconds. It makes a nice alternating and circular flow in my tank. I wish it would stay in that freaking setup though!

Yea... I just quit messing around with it. One of these days I will upgrade my pumps
