So when i set up my 180g the lfs setting it up recomended a jebao-scp 150

i see reviews on decent power and they felt it was enough for what i needed-not crazy expensive and would do adequate job

1 later after adding in back another powerhead cause flow seemed just not there…took apart this water change-and tinkered and wow-it finally seems to be pushing water like i have seen in video-literally from no flow to decent flow

no idea what the deal was/is but i dont even think i need other power head as my toadstool and hammers were blowing all over the place on sandbed

i hate figuring out flow

Yeah, I have these too. Two in my 150, they can be finicky when you take them apart and put them back together. If the parts aren’t lined up right, you lose a ton of power.

I have it set at the lowest setting cause it just seems like too much flow for my soft and lps

I have two brand new ones on my 6 foot tank one mounted horizontal and one vertical and have used alternating current and also elso mode. and i dont think i have the flow i want.
