Does anybody have any experience with the SW15? I'm thinking about trying the cheap route while I wait for something like black Friday to get a deal on some Tunzes.

I like my Jebao WP powerheads, good pump with good control, those that you list are very similar, I'd say go for it.

I have the PP-4 which is an older or newer version of the same pump, I'm not sure though, it seems like they change the nomenclature of their pumps daily haha

It's a good little pump IMO. It does make a little noise but you have to be in a silent room to hear it and even then my skimmer is louder than the powerhead. I use the pulse feature and it creates a good wavemaking effect in my IM Nano 20. Don't expect much from the user manual, it's littered with Chinese to English translation mistakes and also provides little information on what the overall features actually do. For the price though, you can't beat how many features you do get and the fact that you can link multiple units wirelessly is pretty cool too.

[emoji121]️ I agree. I have a couple pp-4's and love them. I just cleaned mine this past weekend and like them even more. Easy to disassemble and clean. Mine are silent. Put out plenty of flow. Very adjustable. Love the 10 min. Feed mode.

I have sw15. Haved wp40 which broke after 1,3 years. Sw15 is in my tank for about 10 months now. So far so good but i ordered Tunze stream 3. Anyway here is little review compared to WP40. It doesent need to be cleaned so much often ( WP after 3 weeks lose about 40 % ) I clean this one every 2 months and it losses maybe 20 %. It is less noiser to. Controler have i think 1 function more then old model. To sum it up better then old one but still i dont know what will happen after year and half so i ordered Tunze and this will clean wash it and put in backup. Also Tunze stream 3 5 years warrenty . Hope this helped.

I think I'll give them a try and compare them to the two 6105s I already have. I can get them for about $55 a piece off ebay.

I purchased a pp-4 from fish-street about 8 months ago. The motor for the pump started to weaken and it was past the 6 month return date. They told me I could order a new motor for a whopping $20. I did so and it it took 7 days from China. This is my 5th pump and the second one to malfunction. However, $20... come on LOL :D

I have the sw2. My first 2 started acting up after 3 months.

They were replaced by the company and the new ones are fine

I ran a pair of RW-15 pumps since they first came out. Recently one of them failed and I purchased the SW15 pumps. The SW-15 pumps are smaller than the RW-15, but when compared side by side when opperate, the SW-15 is noticebly louder. Not sure why the diffence in sound.

Try removing the ceramic ring at the base of the impellers magnet. See if that doesn't help?

Yeah I ultimately had to send mine back. I'm not sure if I had duds or what but I could hear them ramping up and down about 25ft away.
