Looking to get some jebao powerheads for my recently upgraded 90g tank. I have read and heard a lot about the wp40s but it seems like the new pumps are the rw15. The tank has 120ish lbs of rock and will be a mixed reef. What would the better choice be?
Thank you guys!

I've got 2 of the pp8 and 2 wp25 in my 120g display. I prefer the PP series, it's a broader stream than the wp 25.
One thing to consider if you look at the brackets the PP is fixed in the bracket, with the way the wire leaves the pump you can not move it a full 180 degrees. The wp series sits in the bracket by tension and is more adjustable. If you are planning to use it at extreme angles this is some thing to consider. Hope that makes sense...

Thank you guys for the quick response. The pp15 looks like it will be what I'm going with then.

And not to hijack but which would be best for a 75g? I have an rw-4 now and I was going to use that along with another one on a 75g

I think the rw 8 are good for a 4ft tank.
Sps dominant may need more...I actually just added the second pp8, replaced a Korallia powerhead. I'm keeping a close eye on my hammer, it's getting a much stronger flow (undertow, really) now and concerned it may need to be repositioned or flow adjusted, or pump turned downed...

I am by no means a flow expert though, but the 8s seem pretty common on the 4 footers.

I plan on running at least 2 of whatever powerheads I choose. I figured the pp-15 would be right. Should I go smaller?

Ok I didn't think 2 pp-8 would be enough. At 100% that would put me at about 46x turnover rate.

pp15 would be to much flow for 4f tank. Better to use more smaller pumps in mixed reef IMO
