I know there has been some discussion here about the potential issues with the manual, in particular the dosing frequency values.

On Tuesday I set a test for every other day to see if I had it set properly. According to the manual 0=No Dosing 1=Every Day 2= Every other Day, etc.

Well, I sat and watched Wednesday and nothing...well I said to myself maybe it had something to do with when it was setup (the day before). So, this morning I wait again and again, nothing!

As an experiment I set the time to dose just ahead of current time and set the dose frequency to 0 (should not have dosed) but it dosed.

Therefore, my conclusion is 0=Daily 1=Every other Day, etc.

More testing is set so we shall see.

Thanks for looking.

I have my doser setup at "0" for daily doses. FishOfHex has a good video of setting up calibrating and dose time/ day setting on youtube. its a good watch and it helped me out a little.

but your conclusion is correct.

Thanks for the affirmation!

Another question...just to make sure.

I want to dose alk and Ca on alternate days, so currently tomorrow would be Ca, thus I set frequency for pump 1 to "1" for every other day and
set pump 2 to "2" for every second day.

It looks like it will be what I want.

Comments please

Thanks to all!

I think it would work, but why don’t you just do daily doses? It would make the tank more stable.... I dose alk on the even hours and calc on odd hours.... I’ll set up 1ml on every hour going off the arrangement above and make 1ml adjustments as need according to the tank needs.
if that makes sense

Thanks for the suggestion. The products I'm using recommend dosing on alternate days, so that's my reasoning behind that.

I may try your schedule once I feel I have auto dosing down pat.

Thanks again.

Well for some reason pump 2 ran today, not sure why but as long as pump 1 doses tomorrow all is good.

Pump 2 did deliver the correct amounts at the scheduled times so here's hoping!!

I believe you need to set both to '1'. but set the second one up the day after your first pump doses.

I think right now your second pump is running 1 day on 2 days off

That may be true, I changed the frequency per day and volume for each dose last night and nothing today. So, not sure if resetting the programming caused the pump to change when it starts, or as you suggested I have to set each at 1 and the second pump the next day.

The experiment continues.
