Hi everyone, has anyone ever seen this or have any idea what could be causing this. New growth seems normal but seems previous growth has turned dark brown. I can still see the red polyps though. No major changes except for possible more light as went from hydra 32 to 64 but kept same schedule and this is closer to the bottom of the tank. Parameters have been stable but did have a po4 spike a few weeks back to .16 but came back down to .02 over 2 weeks. Tank has been stable for a month since. Alk 8, cal 425, mag 1350, ph 7.9-8.2, temp 77, sal 1.025, no3 2ppm, po4 .02. Any thoughts?

My bet is the phosphate. I am also coming down from a very very large one and my corals (including a Jedi) are gaining color back.

its been over a month since the spike and my currrent po4 is at.02 and it seems the brown is chasing the new growth. I find it rather odd since the polyps are still red and the coral doesn't seen to have tissue damage.

It's possible it doesn't like the increased light. If it doesn't improve, you could try a shadier spot.
