Jeepguy's 125... build thread after 11 years running

so i figured i would start a build thread 11 years after my tank has been running


got a 125 gallon from craigslist.... found out that it was tempered glass and it couldn't be drilled, so i got an Eshoppes HOB overflow...

sump is a 40 breeder

stand made out of 2x4's and oak plywood
mag12 return pump
2 tunze 6055's.... tank originally had 2 korialia's in it
auto topoff direct from RO/DI on a solenoid

i found some old pics of the stand build

about 3 years ago i had a kalkwasser accident and nuked the tank.... killed almost everything except my green star polyps and mellon mushrooms....

i let them take over for a couple of years, and about the middle of last year got my interest back up in reefing when i closed my business and had more free time because i wasn't working 2 jobs..

now getting the tank back in shape, i just installed a Kessil H380 for my fuge, and got a new pump for my reef octopus 150 skimmer and an apex classic to control everything

and the tank as it is today...

just built the floating hood to cut down on the heat from 3 250 watt radium MH
