Jello **Named after Jello Biafra - the former front man of the Dead Kennedys

Tarja ** Named after former lead singer of Nightwish, Tarja Turunen

The Dude (jerkface) Named by my son

Not pictured are Dave the Watchman Goby and Mr. Snippy-Snappy the Curly Cue Shrimp.
One day I'll be patient enough to photograph them.
Dave is named after Dave Matthews because being a Watchman goby made me think of All Along the Watchtower

Nice! I have a pixi hawk. Was the 15th fish in my 120. Very interesting fish and does not bother anyone.
I know the type you have can be problamatic from what I have read.
Interesting names also.

Haha well thank you! My son, who was 6 at the time I introduced the fish, named our spotted hawk. He has been "The Dude" since then. Except when I call him other, not so nice names when he eats my shrimp!

Almost all my rock was dry rock, except for a couple pieces that were already cycled by my LFS. The coralline just took off on it's own!

haha Well the octopus and the mermaid are a set I'm working on *haven't touched them in about 6 months* and they were getting in the way, so I hung them where they will eventually live once I've finished them!

It's very beautiful!

From when I started the tank in July 2020 to now is about 16 months of growth.

Thank you! They will look better whenever I finish them. Hopefully before the end of the year!
All the paintings in my house were done by myself or my daughter and 99% of all the photography is mine.

Hi Everybody & welcome to my journey back into saltwater!
In July 2020, after about 15 years out of the hobby, I jumped back in!
I know many others have found their way back, especially with little or nothing to do during the beginning of the pandemic.
As a nurse, working 2 jobs, even during the pandemic, I was not one of those with little or nothing to do.
I was overworked, underpaid, and overwhelmed with anxiety and depression.

SO! I found this on FB Marketplace for $200 and said, let's go!

I started doing all kinds of reading again, joined FB groups and starting asking tons of questions and couldn't believe how much equipment had changed since getting out of the hobby. So I went ahead and "splurged" on the Tunze 9012 skimmer, a couple powerheads, a heater, and Fluval Marine 3.0 lights.
Ladies & Gentleman, I have since learned the importance of patience and saving up for proper equipment.
But! This is a learning journey for me and it took my mind off the dark cloud that had been hovering over my head.

This was July 12, 2020!
And seeing me come so alive with my new project, my then boyfriend who was supporting me mentally, emotionally, decided to propose as I dried my hands after adjusting my rockscape!

I missed the octo painting. I showed it to my wife and she said great talent. She has been an artist since 4.
She is into welding art now but does many animals in pencil, oil, and other mediums.
