Not at all true, and if you know this little about them though, you shouldn't have them. They're very delicate and you need to do lots of research.

you never relly know anything about something untill you try and have your own experience i honestly did not think it was true and i have never lost any other kind of fish so i was willing to try everyone has there own opinion and own methods so i prefer using my own experience i just wanted to make sure i didnt by something that was not worth it also i am in china and speak very little chinese so i was pretty much guessing what the lady was saying
