I'm starting a new community reef tank and began to wonder, "are jellyfish suitable for a 75 gallon reef tank?" Thx in advance.

I'm no expert of any kind but I feel like the flow demands of a reef tank and a jellyfish tank are completely different. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in soon.

My understanding is that jellyfish require a spherical or cylindrical tank, because square corners are sharp enough that they would tear them up. They would certainly get torn to bits if they were sharing a tank with corals. Another drawback is that they apparently survive (at least in captivity) for just about a year, so you either have to keep replacing them or set up a breeding system to keep restocking the tank.

OK. I didn't think they would work to well but it was worth a shot.
