Has anyone seen or heard of jendub micro. the micromussa does not have a name my buddy said. i seen it in his tank and he told me it was very rare and no alot of people have this micro. it light purple outer rime and then a green inner rim with maroon rim then the mouth is green on some polyp and white on other. i was looking to purchase it but he wanted like 400$ for like 6 polyp or so. i was wondering if it worth it. i wish i had a picture. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just flash your Melting Pot Chalice at him and tell him to give it up or he get's none of it!!

Sorry no idea on the micro.

yep, have them at the store i work at. we have jendub doughnuts and creeps. they are in the display tank and aren't for sale.

it not the color or money micro it alot nicer i think. it has three color rims. purple, green, maroon, and white or green mouth. i will try to take pics when i go to his house tomorrow. he also has a nice size colony of the orange ufo. that is very nice but he wants 75$ a polyp.

oh sweet, you work for Chris now? does Sam no longer work for him?

I recently just moved from Blacksburg, to Charlottesville over the summer. Before I moved Chris asked me if I knew of anyone he could hire to help him out in the new store.....but I couldn't think of anyone who needed a part time job.

I still need to make it up to the new store, I haven't been through there since about 2 weeks before he moved the shop.

btw......most of those awesome zoas chris has in his show tank came from me. ;)

he has lots of nice micros too.....my favs are the UFO's and pink/green ones....forget the name though.

yes, he's spoken of you before about posting some frags. I work after school MWF, the other Sam, as my name is also Sam, works T/TH/Sat. The shop is coming together nicely and business is great. The ufo xtreme is also my favorite, as wells as the sleepy hollow and jokers. I've been feeding often in hopes of sooner fragging. :-)

I'm sorry to hear about your recent move to charlottesville.. I hope you still wear your colors with pride!! ;-)

what did he say about me posting frags? lol

i keep telling him he needs to finish his website and sell stuff online, he could easily make a killing on some of the micro and chalice frags he has laying around....i can't think of any other internet coral store off the top of my head that would have better stuff for sale than he does.

he just said you had posted some stuff for him.

i don't know what his excuse is, other than they are just growing in size in $$$ value. He loves his corals, and its hard for him to part with them. lol

Happy Thanksgiving, btw.

See that's the point business people need to learn to let go sometime and concentrate on business not pleasure. Here for instance fragging up stuff. I remember somethings fishy when he had the display and all the nice stuff were in there but he wouldn't sell it. But everytime i go back stuff would dissappear cuz they died. Anyways i wouldn't like fragging up my micro colonies either. Oh i would probably make sure someone wanted to buy a certain frag first before fragging.like a deposit as they are pricy.

That somethings fishy guy was a dummy. I gave him about 200lbs of live rock a Teslatta eel and a majestic angel and a 200 gal oceanic tank and he said I had all sorts of store credit for after I moved and 2 weeks later all my rock and angel was in the Szchewuan resturant and he closed down... He also has about 10 nice Rubbermaid tubs that I brought the LR in. Oh yeah and a 40gal. with stand... Not to call anyone out but..... I just thought that was ****tty business.

UA is AWESOME and I wish that he'd come off some of those super nice corals in his display too....or atleast get 2 so that if you wanted to buy them you could. Chris is a really nice guy and I can't blame him though for not fragging the display.....although I'd like just 1 of those nuclear greens that he has....something.

the plans for those micros, acans, polyps, etc. are to frag.. but they have to grow out first! he does have some really nice aussie acans in right now.

jeremy was a fish guy......not a coral guy....he didnt understand the whole keeping corals healthy concept. but he was a nice guy. he bought the business from someone else....and that someone cooked the books before the sale. when jeremy took over the place was in MAJOR financial trouble. he tried to sue him but the guy disapeared.

thats part of the reason the store just got worse and worse...like he wasn't putting any money into it...mostly b/c he wasn't making any money.

.....i heard a different story about that incident....but i'll leave it at that...lol

chris does sell *some* of the stuff out of his show tank, but if they are already small he needs to grow them out more before he frags them......he only got those nuclear greens and other hot zoas from me back in april/may.

plus, he's tried to sell some of those more expensive corals.....and NO ONE would buy them. in fact.....i think some of the higher prices for stuff the size of a quarter was scaring people away from buying sps. so he stopped selling them publicly unless it was to a proven customer/hobbyist who he knows has no problem paying high prices and keeping stuff alive.

he had people complaining about buying a 1/2" superman frag for $40.....thats a steal IMO.......chris's stuff is marked waaaaay down compared to every other saltwater store i've ever been in. people who go to UA shouldn't complain about his prices.....things are marked up 50-100% here at the store in Richmond for the same corals and fish.

Yeah I'll leave it there too... he he he . Water under the bridge in my book. Although, I would be interested to hear what other stories are out there. I think we had some mutual friends that talked alot...but. He was a good guy. I hated to see him close, but you are right. It was mostly fish and the previous dude was a duchebag. Got a write up in the paper for the "Nemo" movie and thought he was gods gift to the hobby.. anyways.

Yeah Chris' prices are great. IMO if I were to buy the $100 corals it would only be from him. Not sure where you are though....if he got those Nuclears from you then can I get some too???? Hyper is working on a Purple Death frag for me but won't frag his Nuks yet. I see 1 polyp FS in the FS forum so I'll see if it has been snagged yet.

I only get to go to Chris' like 1 time a month 'cause the wife knows that I'll go and spend too much $$$, mainly because I can't say no to cool stuff. Which he always has lots of!!! And I hate to choose.....I just get both or all 3,4 then I remember I have to get salt food and supplies. UGH!!!! Can't it all just be free!!! ha ha ha
