Tank is 75G. Either 29 or 40G sump, and eventually a heavy load but only LPS and heavy fish.

I am considering Classic 152S or Classic 150SSS. Are these too big? What are the the differences, etc?

Coralvue has the 152S with a lower bioload capacity than the 15oSSS, but Bulk Reef Supply suggests the opposite with their bioload capacity reccomendation for these two, so its a little confusing.

Thanks!

Could probably go either way between 150/152 and 110. If it it were me I would probably just go with the 110SSS, if I was going to step it up I'd probably go all the way into a Regal 150SSS. I do know that when I asked them the same question about a year ago they told me they do not recommend the 152S on anything less than 100 total gallons. Well, their exact words were "we don't recommend a 5" skimmer on under 100 gallons save for the 110SSS only because it has the internal pump."

Edit - I just realized now this is in the RO forum (lol), sorry if I intruded.

Hey no problem, I appreciate the response. I would still like to hear from Jeremy the professional if you don't mind (lol, just kidding).

I pm'd you a few weeks ago about your thoughts on the Eshopps x/s120. I know you have the s-120. Why did you go with Eshopps instead of RO?

Jeremy,

You've posted on this board since I posted this question. I'm surprised you would not bother to respond to a post titled " Jeremy - which RO Skimmer?" .

I'll ask again, for a 75 gallon new tank but eventually heavy bioload LPS, would either the 15oSSS or the 152S be too big, and which one might be a better fit?

Also, would your new Essence 130 be a better fit than the sss150 or 152S? Or are all three too big?
