Hey Everyone, I found an amazing light deal and decided to switch this tank up to a SPS dominant setup. I found a sweet deal on a Hydra 52 HD and it’s a monster over a 24” x 24” x 12” cube-ish tank. So I moved most of the biomedia substrate and the main piece of live rock down to the sump. Added some Tropic Eden Reef Flakes (always wanted to try it out and love the grain siz so far!) and a brand spankin’ new scape and boom we are off to the races! What settings are you using on the light

I also plan on switching to one or two Tunze nano pumps. The old Hydor was all I had that didn’t blow everything all over the place.

Yes that will work I have a wp10 and pp4 on my 60 cube. Works great but orders a maxspect gyre 230 for it instead

Been a while since I updated this thread! This tank is now really a catch all mixed reef and it’s doing well! Switched to a more appropriate Hydra 26HD and moved the 52 wait over my bigger build (along with 2 more 52 HDs and a AquaticLife 61” Hybrid) as I work on it.

Here are some pics of the tank.

Thanks!! This has definitely become more of a mixed reef than originally planned. I am loving it.
