jestersix Seashine Plasma 150G

I'm pretty happy - especially when you consider the lights are 16 inches over the tank - I could easily drop them to 6 inches and still not have any real heat issues if I put a couple of fans on them. Of course, I would have to space them differently...PAR at 4 inches under the lights is 3000. We'll see how things go moving forward. At this point the Millis up tops are growing like weeds adn are getting unreal PE.

We may add a 4 ft Reefbrite Blue...still thinking about that.

The shimmer on this tank is sweet - I need to post a video...

A couple of growth shots first of each is from 5/26, second is from last night

Very cool! Nice tank and your corals look good. Lovin the acan garden :)

I've never even heard of Plasmas til I opened your thread. That means your a pioneer and educator! Good work. What can you tell me about the color of the bulbs, or bulb K temps?

Alpha, the bulbs range from about a 6500 (at 100%) to 14K (20%) depending on dimming...

Quuick vid

Thanks Dom, your milli frag is the star of the next video - that piece is looking right fine!!

What have you been running the bulbs at mostly? 50%? And how long do you run them? I would love to see a video these look really cool!

Bulbs ramp up for 909 minutes from 20% to 100%, then run for 8 hours, then dim down over 90 minutes...mostly running at 100%
