I believe this is colony in the center is a JF Fox Flame. When it was a frag it had the yellowish tips. Any idea what I'm doing wrong that caused it to change colors?

hell is it possible its not even a JF Fox Flame. The best way I can describe the growth pattern is like a porcupine, i'm going to have one heck of a time trying to frag this thing.

Doesn't look like a Fox Flame to me, which has a red/burgundy base and yellow tips. The colony is beautiful though - maybe a Pearlberry .

yea i'm not complaining about what it is. its an awesome looking coral

The colony dead center looks like Vivid’s rainbow delight, to me. Or something similar. jF flame is burgundy base, turning bright pink on the branches highlighted by yellow tips.

Some all blue pics included but I can give you a daylight too.

Looks like Vivids Rainbow Delight to me also. Definitely not Fox Flame. Here's one of our Fox Flames and one of our Vivids Rainbow Delights:

how the hell do you frag something like this? I was thinking just drop a butter knife in there and twist and hope for the best?

I used to use a band saw but takes forever to get back to a natural looking shape. You may struggle to believe this but with these large tabling colonies, the best way is to remove it from the tank and literally drop it on the floor (right side up of course). It will shatter quite naturally at the weaker points and look pretty natural once it heals.
