I have a JF Jack O leptoseris and its eyes are fading. I have it low in my tank and a moderate water flow. My lights are 2 175w MH and 2 110w VHO. Thanks for any advise or help.

pics and parameters would help a lot

ph 8
NO3 0ppm
PO4 0ppm
Ca 380ppm
Alk 10.75dKH
Mg 1320ppm
SG 1.027

I can't figure out how to post a pic. I push the "upload a file" button and nothing happens.

push upload file, a box should pop up, select your file and then it will upload

i tried and tried to post a pic but no luck. I moved the coral to get more light and flow. The eyes look white. We shall see what happens.

Just copy and paste the pic here. Or get a Photobucket account and copy and paste, those are free.

Your water is too clean. I'm facing the same issue with my JF lepto. I have 3-4 ppm of nitrates but 0 phosphates. Back when I had 0.04 - 0.09 phosphates the coral was growing really fast.

What's not really visible in my photo is that some of my eyes that are closer to the rim have done the same. I'd still bet on the water being too clean.

move it up! I have both of mine in high light. it's also the fastest growing thing in my tank :)

this was the day after I had it shipped to me, and then just a few weeks later.

No3 end Po4 are low, even if it says 0.0 you're really not at 0.0 but you're to clean.
Feed the fish more often, dose some AA and coral food, dial back the skimmer a bit and your Jack'O will recover in a few weeks.

Thanks for the help! I did move it up some and it started to turn white so I moved it back. I run 2 175w MH and VHO's

Agreed move it up SLOWLY. Make sure you keep an eye out if it starts bleaching. Have you target feed it?
I have target feed with Brightwell Reef Snow. I will try to move it up again. The last time I actually didn't move it up, but moved it from an overhang to more direct light. It was still on my dsb.
