JGarza's Red Sea Reefer 250 Build

I ordered the Reefer 250 and was wondering if anyone modified it to increase the sump size? Is that a bad idea? I'm thinking bigger sump more space without the clutter. Also I haven't seen anyone on here with a refugium sump for the 250

Well it's been a while since I've updated this thread. I love looking at full grown tanks and then looking at mine makes me sad! I've since added some frags and some fish. Just taking things slowly at first before I go crazy on coral;) The tank has been up for about 2 months now and going strong! I wanted this tank to be SPS dominant but the girlfriend isn't that big of a stick fan, go figure! I'm slowly but surely changing her mind. She loves anything that moves in the water like any new person to this hobby. That's what got us hooked in the first place right? Since I don't have all the room in the world I'm making sure I only add things that I love to take up the real estate. Anyways enough of the talking and here are some pictures.

Your tank may not be full of coral but it sure has a great foundation for success! Great job!

So clean!

whats your opinion on the nyos skimmer? Haven't been able to find a lot of reviews on the 120 so curious how you like it.... GORGEOUS build !

Thanks! I really like it a lot. It's a great skimmer imo. Very quiet and pulls some nasty stuff. It's also easy to adjust to your liking. When I get a bigger tank I'm definitely going to go with another Nyos!

Tank is looking awesome bro, can't wait to see it in 6 months

Thanks! Me neither. I'm pretty excited on how it'll turn out.

Holy moly. Amazing man. Come organize my tank like that ****

Haha thanks! It's not organized that well. I wish I had a cabinet next to the tank so I can put all electrical stuff in there!
