I thought about Hawaiian black, but it has been hard to find. Coral reef only has a couple of random bags in, neither of which I am wanting. Ill take any free sand though lolol

The Fiji pink sand and the fine powder sand both look very nice

I can't go with fine powder. I run a lot of flow in my tank and that stuff would be everywhere.

the tanks that I have seen with black sand have been pretty awesome. I think that is what I am going to go with. I just cant find any. I want the pure black, not the white black mix.

In my opinion if you put black in a biocube it darkens the tank to much, the Samoa pink is a larger grain than Fiji and looks better to me.

Made some progress today . Got my sand in finally, filled her up with water, and added in my dry rock.

Also, I used Instant ocean Bio Spira. According to the bottle it instantly cycles the tank making fish ready immediately. Im not putting fish in yet, because i want to see just how fast it works. Since I typically cycle with ammonia, I added some, waited a bit and tested it. Now, I have a base reading. So I am going to measure the the decrease in ammonia to try to measure its effectiveness.
