Hello from San Jose. I have been reefing since 2005 and wanted to introduce my reef tank which is very simple without a skimmer or sump.

Oase 600 canister filter with built in heater.
no sump or skimmer
Alk CA MG via kamoer x1
Top off via kamoer x1

Interesting. I'm always into the minimalistic approach. What is your maintenance regime?
Here it is :)

Everyday
0.5ml (or 10 drops) of MB7 or Clean
The exact amount of flake food
Check temp
A few of drops of poly booster (Ppoly lab) if PO4 is low

Wed
Feed to Cynarina and bounce and lords
Feed one frozen cube (skip flake food)
Test alk, no3, po4
Check temp

Weekend
Test alk, CA, mg, no3, po4
Test PH at night
Dose iodine 2.5ml
Dose potassium 1.5ml
10% water change (Blow live rock)
Rinse pre-filter
Fill top off the reservoir
Check temp and salinity

End of every month
Clean all 4 glass panels throughly
Replace carbon
Rinse the entire bio-media thoroughly
Clean the intake
Clean the wavemaker
Check 2 part level
Check the tear on the dosing pump tubing
Check TDS

How much does the water level drop before the ATO kicks on?
Top off is done by Kamoer X1 pump. It pumps around 1 liter a day, so the water level is mostly consistent. Just need to find out the daily evaporation rate.

Here is a picture of the cabinet with top off reservoir and 2 part dosing setup.

Nice! How long has this been running with corals?

My previous 40B and 90 g was running with a canister for years. My current tank is running with a sump.

Is that heated and bent acrylic tubing?

Thank you! It has been running for about 5 years including the tank upgrade from 40b to 50 rimless.

Here is a video that was taken a while ago. I don't think my current aquascape is as nice as back then.

what is this coral in the back and any close up pictures? Your OG and Cynaria are absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you! It is a Mummy eye chalice. There are more than one mummy eye chalice variant but I am not sure exactly what this is. The color becomes from green to dark yellow under lower lighting. It used to be completely green before. Pic below is when it was transitioning from green to yellow. I grew it on a sandbed to make it flat first and put it on a rock work.

Update 06/10/22

One major change has been the improved color and polyp extension of the acros after raising PO4 level by adding more fish and feeding more.

PO4 before - 0.0 to 0.03
PO4 nowadays - 0.03 to 0.07

Not the biggest fan of the look of the bare bottom. Thinking about adding super thin sandbed but it will be painful to clean.

FTS today. The OG bounce has been moved to the rockwork and has a protective shield as the new clownfish are trying to rub against it. So the aqua scaping is still a work in progress. :(

Found out yesterday that the tank had dangerously low ALK, luckily SPSs were still looking healthy (except for the green one in the center).
Since early July, I added more fish and fed more, but the PO 4 level is still on the low side, and the SPSs look pale and have thinner flesh.
I like the color overall but I want them to look fuller and thicker. So I need to feed and dose even more! :)
