Anyone using John guest fittings on the gas line of there calcium reactors ? I had a leak I was going to change all the fittings to John guest but I've seen an equal amount of people saying yes and no ??

No. Co2 can be very dangerous if the is any leakage and tanking that risque is not a good one.

As far as I understand it carbon dioxide is not that dangerous. Carbon monoxide on the other hand is extremely dangerous. The difference being carbon monoxide has one atom of carbon and one atom of oxygen while carbon dioxide has one atom of carbon and two atoms of oxygen. A carbon dioxide leak in in an enclosed space can still be dangerous but my small 5lb tank isn't going to do anything even if it leaks out overnight which it has in my house. My family used to own a bar and I took one of the carbon dioxide alarms in the closet where we kept Co2 tanks. I put one of these alarms near my tank out of curiosity and it never went off even when the tank emptied because of a leak which leads me to believe that I have nothing to worry about

True.
"Carbon dioxide is quite safe and will not kill you if you breathe it. What will kill you is the absence of oxygen: we need to breathe oxygen, because it is necessary to burn the fuel that powers our heart and body, if we breathe only other gases, even if they are harmless, we can die because of absence of oxygen".

I am going from the point of anything that has leakage is not good. I the tank is leaking gas then the oxygen under or near the tank will be affected. Also with leakage the is waste.
