New to the hobby. My wife and I had been talking about it for several years and this past Xmas (2015) she bought me the Coralife Biocube 29. Hooked now. And like most others I've talked with in the hobby, already dreaming of a bigger tank - and a bigger wallet. ;)

I originally posted my tank setup on my Facebook page in an album. Thought I might as well repeat that info / photos here so folks can see where I am at. Feel free to comment as I still have LOTS to learn!

This first image is the tank unpacked and set up next to the sink to be "test filled" to be sure there are no leaks. Since it shipped from Amazon (which has been problematic in the past), I don't want to have the first water in it be the saltwater and in its final location in the living room on the hardwood floors! Better safe than sorry!

Good start. I got the BC29 for Christmas also last year...now I am working on my 90 gallon build :-)

Well, the fish are all in QT and being treated with Formalin baths for Brooks. So far I lost 2 clowns and a Flame Angel. I lost one Pajama Cardinal Fish that got hurt trying to get out of the DT. I actually lost the Flame 2 days after moving to the QT tank. It seemed to be responding to the baths and was eating well - but one AM it was dead. The tank is now "fishless" for 76 days as it goes fallow. The corals are doing really well as there are no fish nipping at them.

This update is also my Tunze lighting contest entry. ;)
