My wife thought it was silly that I was going to dedicate a new 7 gallon Waterbox nano as strictly an acclimation/quarantine tank for my larger build of a Waterbox Marine 60.2. So voila - it is now a stand alone nano tank. And unlike my Waterbox Marine, this will be 100% dedicated to Tiki. I sourced a nice "Volcano-ish" sized live rock. I purchased a Blue Ribbon tiki hut. I'm going to put some ogo in there for movement. And a few tini corals.

Photos to follow.

I guess to hell with a quarantine tank ... ;Dead

The new tank sounds very interesting - I look forward to seeing pictures!

Don't scrap the QT idea. This sounds like a great excuse to get a 10g or 20g at the next $1/gallon sale!

Looking for suggestions on fish selection? I'm thinking a purple firefish - name alone goes with the theme. But, needs to adapt to a 7g tank. I'd also feel bad with just one fish (lonely) but I'd also feel bad overcrowding a 7g. Suggestions welcome. Thank you!

Smallest tank before was a 14g biocube and I had to clowns in it.

Update for August 30:
Ordered a juvenile Helfrichi Firefish on sale from @LiveAquaria and a juvenile Yasha Goby. So tiny. Been in for four hours. Hiding in different corners.
Hooked up the AI Prime, set on acclimation mode. Would love some light profiles for a 7g Nano.
Added red ogo the other day. Believer in algae filtration.
Ordered pods from @AlgaeBarn.

A few additions to the Tiki Hut. A tailspot blenny who now perches at the top of the volcano rock each morning for food. He’s like a puppy. 7:30am, nowhere to be found. 8am perched waiting for food.
I added a beautiful orange acan lord (lava) at the base of the volcano from @AquaSD. And now waiting on a few more items, including an orange rock flower anemone.
Added my copepods last week and dosing phyto each morning.
Added a mangrove.

And not to ignore my nano, with the start up of my new Tiki Lounge tank, here is an update.

Added a Biota Court Jester Goby from @AlgaeBarn.
Added a green hammer and white torch, via trade.
Added a tiny lobo and wilsoni from @AquaSD.
Waiting on my orange hammer as the volcano topper.
Added a used Apex Jr for control.

Things are going well in this tiny tank.
