Jose's 100 SCA build

Hi everyone,

Earlier this year, I came upon an opportunity to upgrade. A fellow reefer getting out the hobby and me tossing the idea of upgrading. So, I went for it and purchased a used 100 SCA tank, with that said here's my build. I'll post some pictures soon.

tank- 1oo SCA (48x24x20)

stand- 80/20 aluminum stand with white boards

sump: skimz 39

water movement: 3 mp40's(2 upgraded to quite drives)

return pump: jabeo dc

lighting: ATI 6 bulb dimmable fixture

skimmer: swc extreme 180 (debating on upgrading)

top off: tune 3155

hey following your post. I also have a SCA 100 gallon I got from Steve. Can't wait to see your build. I am trying to finish my stand to I can get the tank filled.

I've been reading you thread. I'll post some pictures of how it currently is.

Looks good! I just emailed them today, I am planning to get the 150. I hear lots of good things about their tanks.

Just check your silicone as I had a little issue with mine. make sure you don't see any air bubbles etc.

I like your stand where did you get it? I have decided to build my stand and it is taking too long. I am almost done, 1 door and its stain time. I think another 2-3 week as I only have access to work on the stand on Sundays or Mondays.

yeah, there good tanks. I like the build quality.

any noise from the overflow?

No. I'm running a Herbie, its dead silent I get more noise from my sump then my overflow.
