Hey Marty.. Thanks for the schedule.. I just downloaded it to take a look.. I gotta say.. I'm a bit surprised..
from 2-6 he's running 100% intensity and 100% in all colors?
Everything I've read says white, green and red should be low, low low..
Anyone else have an opinion?

But yes I was super surprised with 100% on all colors for like 4 hours I mean his results are crazy but just never thought of running it all

I'm running his setting but dialed it down a lot to about peak to about 45%

Sorry for the late reply.
I've been busy and out of town/country for most of the past few weeks.
I don't receive any notification in my mail if there's a post on my thread as well haha.
Regarding the radions, I too have wondered at the start. I started with much lower light intensity when I first got my Radion back in 2011. I noticed stems of my zoas started stretching, so I upped the intensity bit by bit til it's current state. Also, please note that I am using Gen 1 Radions. These are much weaker I think compared to the Radion Pros. My lights are very outdated - the fans have broken down numerous times and I have had it replaced numerous times as well by local technicians with non-original fan parts (Ecotech not covered by warranty here).
I was cautious of course, but I have seen no adverse effects so I continued. In fact, I find it really strange because the zoas are loving the high light.
Here's an FTS taken a few days ago (I changed it slightly again - I keep moving corals around)
My problem with the tank is space! The hammer/frogspawn is growing so big that it's stinging the other nearby corals haha.
You can see here the tentacles are starting to sting the zoas (look for the closed zoas)
This zoa cluster has no more space for growth
Utter chaos
Grow out rack (from 2-3 polyps each)
SPS seem to be doing well also, although some of my wild caught ones have gotten STN for some reason.
My SSC grows sooooooooooo slow
Lastly, here's a pic of a male Lineatus flashing against some clowns.
He ignores the females and instead chases the clowns sometimes

Tank seems healthy and I don't see any harmful effects from the lights, so I let it be.
My Radions are much weaker compared to my friends' LED fixtures.
I removed most of my LPS at the bottom of the tank due to 2 reasons.
1) I have a giant chiton (about 2") that pushes the corals together! This has resulted to numerous LPS stinging other corals when the chiton pushes it.
2) I have detritus build up on the tank bottom which somehow clings to the sides of the LPS. Strange. Anyway, my tank is lacking a bit of flow because until now I have not found any adaptors/power supplies for 2 of my Ecotech Vortech MP40s. It is impossible to source it locally! Probably sticking to china products from here on out to avoid these issues in the future.

Still using the same schedule posted above. Everyone seems to have it now haha!
I don't have time to change or tinker with it as I am on the go. I will be leaving my tank again for a week but when I get home maybe I will start tinkering with it more.

Looking good as always. My mixed reef is doing well but my Z's were not happy for some time do to high alk trying to push my SPS to grow more. I have lowered my alk down and they are coming back nicely.
Keep up the good work. You have been doing a nice job. I can only imagine what you would do in a 200 plus tank.

Tank is looking Amazing as always Jourdy! I love the aquascape, color placement of corals, and those button corals are just fantastic! I'm really looking forward to your bigger build. You have any idea on when you plan on starting that? I really hope you will post the details on that build when it happens like you have with your others. Thanks again and safe travels! Oh yeah, do you plan on upgrading your lighting to another radion model or other type of lighting for this tank/future build? Cheers!

Thanks, I have a problem with Alk as well. My tank consumes 180ml of Alk per day! Quite a lot!
I have ran out of 2 part numerous times already!
I too have wondered about the what ifs of a 200-300 gallon tank, but I don't think I can handle the maintenance haha!
And I live in an apartment - there's no space for a big tank. Drums for mixing water, equipment, pipes, etc.
2x2 tank, it is custom made.
I need to improve it. Lighting and flow, but I am not yet ready to spend again on equipment.
This December, I will be moving to a new condo unit. I already have pegs on what type of pipes, sump, etc. but not yet decided on the size of the tank. Part of me wants a big tank of course (6 feet long) but the practical side of me is having doubts and is making me reconsider a 4 foot tank instead (less equipment, less water change, less electricity consumption - electricity in Manila is I think one of the highest in Asia). I will be living with my fiancee (married by then), so the husbandry of the tank will be left to us, no helpers in the meantime.
I will post details of course, once I have everything ready and set. I definitely need to upgrade lights and other equipment. My current radions are from 2011.
I am yet undecided on the brand Ill be using.. to be honest, the cost of the equipment is a big factor. I am open to suggestions! Haha.
