Journey to the Salty Side

Hello everyone! I'll try to keep this short. I've been keeping freshwater and brackish tanks for a decade, and I want to begin my experience with the beauty of the ocean. I have always loved the look of coral and all of the strange creatures in the ocean (not that I feel ready to keep coral yet), so I hope to get some valuable info and advice from all you guys.

I am planning on my first saltwater tank to be a small tank with no coral, just live rock with 1 damselfish and some invertebrates. Although I've never had a saltwater tank before, I've done years of research so I do know most of the basics.

Welcome to R2R! I am glad to hear that you have decided to keep saltwater tank What are you planning to do with your old freshwater tank? I'd love to see some pictures of your original tank.

I still have my 56 gallon freshwater running as well as my 20 gallon semi-aquatic brackish. The 56 houses mixed species of rainbowfish and a few other smaller fish, while the 20 houses a half beak, red claw crabs, glass eels, and danios.

I have a spare 10 gallon not being used right now, which I'm planning on using for the saltwater. I know smaller tanks are not usually good ideas for beginners, but I don't think it would be too difficult as I've done so much research and I would only be keeping inverts and a damsel.
