I am planning on getting a jumpguard screen top for my 30g cube my only concern is we have 2 cats and they can be kind of a pain my main concern is them sitting on top of the screen. Would the top be able to support that or do I need to go the custom top route? Thanks

IMO a cat jumping up on top of a tank with a DD Jump Guard would be the cats first swimming lesson.
I really like mine, but no way would it support a sitting cat. Then add the force of the cat landing on it.
Disaster in the making.
I even have a custom polycarbonate top and while it would keep the cat dry at first, it would not hold up to repeated landings.
IMO a training aid such as a scat mat would work better.
My cat only made the attempt once.
