I
I'm with you. I'm definitely a chemical treatment as a last resort guy. Good to have peer tested resources to make informed decisions about it once you get to last resort territory tho! Why I love the forum.
Oh absolutely! I was ready to pull any coral that wasn't sps out of the tank but thankfully I wasn't so worried after reading everything here.

Hey everyone! Finally joining this forum after being in the hobby for the past 12 or so years. I've always seen fun things going on here and have never gotten the chance to join in since I wasn't a member so I'm looking forward to that!

I actually made my first post this morning on a thread that was created by a member here named peanut. I've had a terrible outbreak of blue clove polyps over the past couple years and it was time to take care of them. Here's a picture of the tank currently. I hope within a few weeks or so it looks a lot different!

Welcome! Glad you joined. Glad you and Peanut connected. Your tank looks good to me!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread under Forum > Member Aquariums and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in Buffalo:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
