Finally! I read all about patience on these forums and I have next to 0 so maybe this is a self-development hobby for me.
Brand new to the Reefing community. Been studying here, BRS 52 week and other general Youtube content for about 4 or 5 months.
Interesting fact: Won my 1st tank in a raffle for 25 dollars. Then I sold it because I wanted to go another direction. Finally committed to the 20 Gallon IM and I bought a used one off of a good dude for a good price.
Another interesting fact: I cracked that tank last weekend while cleaning it and the sad part is I was on the last step before placing it on the stand.
I consider myself break-even so far after ordering the new tank only setup on BRS.
Light- AI Prime (Non-HD)
Gear- Factory
Heater- 100 watt
I will be going slow and starting off FOWLR.
I did add a tiny piece of loose coral that I stepped on in the sand of the amazing beaches of Turks and Caicos. Not sure if that will impact anything but it's been out of the water for about 5 years so I feel good about it.
I'll update as I go. I am excited to get to Coral after the tank has been running for a while but I also am moving in about 3 or 4 months so I don't want to get crazy by adding a bunch of stuff and then having to move it.
Why did I start when I have to move soon? Go back to the top and read the line about 0 patience.
Any and all advice is welcome!
