Well, last night! I woke up in middle of the night and decided to check on my tank with a flashlight and I saw my favorite haddoni carpet was floating around then landed right next to my torch coral, of course the torch stunk the heck out of the carpet but nothing real danger to the carpet. I was wondered why it try to move out his favorite spot but it too late to think so I place it back to its original spot... few minutes later I heard a series of clicking sound then my haddoni release it pedal and start floating again...what the heck! I used my feeding stick and investigate the hole and the darn Pistol Shrimp popped out and start shooting, so it was the shrimp walk around and doing it burrow and dig to the carpet pedal beneath the rock/sand interface and started shooting at the carpet foot and made the carpet release the foot hold there. I was so upset so I removed few rock and netted the pistol shrimp out and it still try to shoot at me...Crazy shrimp right? I shoot back with my finger...well, it's dead. I placed my carpet back to it's hole and its happy then ever without the pistol shrimp! This incident made me stay up until 5AM before I can go back to sleep and feel happy! END RANT!
Thank you for reading!

I got 2 isolated islands setup in my tank and few days ago the shrimp dug a hole near my gigantea carpet and started shooting at it too, at that time I just blocked the hole with another rock and the shrimp leave the gigantea alone. I think the shrimp was bored and its moved to the other island and start digging until it reached the Haddoni foothold then started annoy the carpet. Well, the shrimp is in freezer now and I will feed it to the carpet tomorrow after it pull itself back together...Circle of Life!

Anyway, my Haddoni back to their normal self :P here a picture

lol thanks for putting the time to share your reef humor. Now, are you sure it wasn't your "worm" sticking its head out and your gf/wife trying to find a better home?
