Just got this light and was wondering who else has it and tips for acclimating and how long do you run them. It is supplementing 2 kessil a160s that have a ramp up from 1200 to 1530 then 100% intensity from 1530 to 2030 then ramp down to 0000. This is going behind the kessils to hit some sps i have up high on my rocks

The Quanta Pros put out a lot of par. I’m running three (two ReefCrest Daylights and one Meso Blue) on my 40 gallon reef (mostly montipora and zoos) about 8 inches off of the water. If you have SPS high up in the tank below the lights, I’d start with the light on maybe for 30 minutes and slowly ramp up the photoperiod by 5 minutes every couple of days. It’s easy to kill corals quickly with too much light! The absolute best thing would be to use a par meter to measure how much additional light you’re giving the corals.

So they are pretty bright? My main lights are on for 5 hours at 100%. Should i run them with my mains for just 5 hours? Or run them for the full 12 of ramp up and down? Wish they were dimmable.

They’re about as bright as both your Kessils. Think of it as doubling your light and you’re about right. I’d start with the Quanta on for a very short time and slowly increase that.

@Thuan just got some Quanta meso blues I think, she might have some tips.
