I don't usually flaunt things I build, but I like this one. A friend needed a fan, so I made this for him. Variable speed, 3000rpm fans.

If I'm in the wrong forum, sorry ;Sorry

Very cool,

Black plexi cut on my CNC machine, PWM controller for fans, two 120mm 3000rpm fans, 12v 2amp power supply and a power switch. I have Amazon links for most if anyone wants them.

I would especially like to see the link for the PSU. ;Shamefullyembarrased
I was planning on using a PC PSU with a jumper and a wall timer.

You don't need much to power these fans, this is what I use.

The fans only draw 0.4amps each at full power.

Very cool.

I had only been planning on using the PC PSU, because I have everything for it already. Even the jumper from the manufacturer. o_O

But I'm thinking about going this route instead. Saves a lot of space.

Thank you very much for sharing.
It's always fun to see what other have created.

Wow you made that from scratch. Well Done! Nice clean construction. In Which maner are they using the fan. Is it to hang over the sump?

BTW. The power button is a great touch to the design.

Dude that's beautiful I want one! And as mtraylor said that power button is lit haha, I'm proud of ya... or maybe it's jealousy either way well done[emoji108]

Would never guess it was DIY. Looks so professionally made if I may say so. Bravo!

You should make a bunch and sell them on Amazon. I know you'd sell a bunch here. Being you have access to a CNC machine, which few people do, you have an advantage and could probably build them pretty fast. Very good quality looking. Much better than those Chines crappers that die in a week, lol.

Can it do forward and reverse? Or just one way?

I could make a version that does forward and reverse, just not sure why you'd want reverse?

The CNC has come in very handy for fish stuff, it's an amazing machine!

Prior to having a chiller and a CNC machine, I made one of these with four 140mm fans using wood. It worked well but the wood didn't last long. Four 140mm fans could do some serious evaporative cooling...would make a heck of a desk fan as well.
