Okay, so I am about to start my copper power treatment. I have read, and read, and read. I am still nervous! I have a 20 gallon. I used Humblefish' formula and if I did my math correctly, I need 24ml of copper power to get to 2.0. I am going to dose 1.7ml twice a day until I reach the full 24ml. I have the Hanna copper tester.

Does that sound right?

I am confident on my tank set up, water conditions, etc. There is no carbon in my filter. I have treated already with prazipro (twice over two weeks). Tanks has been in "observation" mode the last week. So it is time to leap and start copper. I have a separate sterile tank for the fish after the 14 days at full 2.0.

Thanks!

40 drops of Cupramine (20 drops per 10g).. wait two days and then another 40 drops. Final Cu 0.5mg/L for 14 days.

Dont go above 0.6mg/L

I am using Copper Power - not cupramine

What is or are the fish? Should be copper tolerant.

Yes, to get to 2.0 with Copper Power, you will use 1.18 ml per gallon of tank water, or total of 23.6 ml.
However, be sure that the volume of water is correct. Most tanks are smaller than stated.
To get tank volume in gallons, multiple length x width x depth (in inches, excluding the glass walls), and then divide by 231.
And then subtract the estimated volume of devices or decorations in the tank. Probably no more than 1 gallon for a qt.
Now use your true tank volume and multiply by 1.18 for your total amount.
You can dose up to 1 ppm pretty quickly, 1 day. Several more days to get to 2.0.
Some do recommend going slower though. Probably depends on the fish.

I'm getting my copper power tomorrow. What you described is what I am going to be doing as well. I wish us both the best of luck.
