Well, the cord only sticks into the tank a few inches and in reality whats better? 5 or 6 pumps all over the side or one with 2" of cord in the tank?

Mp is better just my observation. I got to beta test the gyres they broke long time ago. I still have some of the first mp's running that are 9+ years old.

I have euro bracing which makes cords sticking out even worse. Definitely sticking with the MPs. But thanks for the input guys

So do I, trust me, you barely see it. I just hate to see people spend $1000's on pumps, when $300 does the job. Trust me, I was one of those.

4 plus a wave box that's what I have I my 108. 2 back wall 1 on each side wall plus wave box on one side.

How long is it going to do the job for? Yes it has amazing flow but for how long? my two didn't last two years.

The first ones were known to fail, the newer ones don't. Even if they do, thats $300 every 2 years.

6 Vortechs here. I'm running 2 MP40 in the back and 1 each MP40 and MP60 on each side. 100% reef crest. Left back and 2 right vs right back and 2 left anti sync in my 72 x 27 x 24 SPS dominated mixed reef all running on 100% reef crest. As my colonies have grown and blocked the flow, I have needed to add more to address dead spots. Originally this tank had one MP60 on one end and the 2 MP40 s on the back.
