So, I've been keeping fish for a while, mostly freshwater. But, I just got this tank from my buddy and I'm learning, but I was hoping for some tips, tricks, advice, and how much of a difference saltwater is from freshwater. He's tank is well established, over 10 yrs old. Anything would help. Thanks!

Welcome to r2r and the saltwater hobby. Does this tank have a sump, skimmer, etc? What are your goals for the tank? I honestly find saltwater easier in many aspects because there seems to be so much more knowledge/research to lean on.

Has everything needed it seems like. Honestly, I would like to add more color. He says it's more of a reef tank, but it seems a little boring for my taste. I want to add more fish since he only had 2 clowns and a serpent star. The live rock is a dark purple, but it's not as exciting as is like it.

Welcome to R2R! Reefing is totally different from fresh water aqua. There is allot of great information on this site and many reefers that are willing to help. Read, Ask, Plan, Turn up and be most of all patient;) Nothing good happens fast in this hobby:)

Welcome to the saltwater world! I have about 100 videos on my channel all about saltwater tanks and plenty more to come.
